"Indica", "Sativa", and "Hybrid" are descriptive words relating to the type of cannabis plant 'strain' that was grown in order to harvest the cannabis flower, or "bud". While there is a lot of room for variation, the three categories can be defined generally like this:
-Indica
Relaxed feelings, slow movements. Heavy body highs used to help sleep, soothe, and restore.
-Sativa
Euphoric feelings, fast thoughts that aid in creativity and brainstorming ideas. "Head Highs" are usually described as intense, psycho-active expieriences. Newer users report discomfort from the intensity of Sativa-highs, especially when used in an unfamiliar setting.
-Hybrid
Generally leaning towards either "Sativa" or "Indica", whos effects will typically dominate. Todays retail cannabis market is comprised mostly of Hybrid flower.
